Paragon Software Asks Users to Name One Item Worthy of Saving Forever, Offers 50% Discount Code

Highlighting the need to archive and preserve legacies for future generations through personal data loss prevention, unique experimental project invites social users to submit and vote on 10 items to preserve in the Paragon Backup Capsule.

Irvine, CA, October 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Backup and recovery software developer Paragon Software Group today announced the launch of an experimental backup project. Users are invited to post one item – a written description – to Paragon’s Facebook Page that they think is worth keeping for the future. Each registered user who submits an item will receive a discount coupon via email good for 50 percent off selected Paragon Software products.

Every living second has the power to yield something exceptional, something that we would not want to lose -- something worthy of saving for posterity. Paragon Software has created a unique Backup Capsule to safely hold these precious pieces. This item might be a concrete thing that a person has created or owns, or an abstract item like a certain experience or bit of knowledge, or even a distinct moment in the past.

Each submitted item will be shown at the Paragon Software blog, where users can view a running list of entries in real time. Users, fans and other participants will be asked to vote for the top 10 artifacts to be kept safely in the Capsule starting November 18.

Paragon Software Group recently unveiled the new edition of Paragon Backup & Recovery 11 Home, the essential computer system backup and the strongest recovery software available on the market. In case of any data loss, this 11th edition allows PC users to recover their systems from four different emergency environments, such as WinPE 3.0, Linux, DOS or native Windows. With user-friendly handling of recovery procedures, Paragon Backup & Recovery 11 Home is not only effective at backing up data, but – more importantly – offers a convenient, comfortable way to restore the system from backup files, even on 2.2 Tb or larger hard drives or on Solid State Drives (SSDs), including the latest Advanced Format Drives (AFDs).

Paragon Software invites all interested PC users to take part in the open experimental project to cultivate methods of keeping our legacy safe for future generations.

Entries accepted through November 15, 2011.
