Park Nicollet Deploys New LRS® Solution
Springfield, IL, October 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Output management software provider Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) announced that Park Nicollet Health Services has implemented VPSX® software to manage documents and printers in the hospital’s new HIS environment. The LRS solution went live during the recent conversion from Park Nicollet’s legacy electronic medical record to Epic.
“LRS helped us develop a reliable, cost-effective output environment to address our immediate printing needs and meet our growing requirements over time. Working together, LRS and Park Nicollet developed a set of tools to automatically configure over 2000 printers across the hospital’s network. Managing these printers with the LRS solution eliminates the need to define multiple Windows print queues per device for custom paper tray selection. This reduces Windows print server requirements and dramatically cuts time spent defining and monitoring print queues. Central printer driver management eliminates the need to manually configure and maintain drivers on the hospital’s 7200+ Windows workstations. In addition, the included PageCenterX® online viewing software will ease the hospital’s transition toward a “view more, print less” strategy.
