Author Andree Harris Releases "A Heart, a Home and a Hope: if I Can do It so Can You" Just in Time for National Adoption Month 2011

National Adoption Month is a time to celebrate the positive impact that the decision to foster or adopt a child can have. In honor of this time “A heart, a home, and a hope: If I can do it so can you,” is being released on November 1, 2011.

Washington, DC, October 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Andrée Harris, a devoted adoptive mother of several children and author will be releasing “A heart, a home, and a hope,” which is a look at both her personal experiences with foster care and adoption as well as the ways foster care and adoption is viewed through the eyes of some of the children who have lived within it. Additionally, the book offers insight to those who may be considering fostering or adopting children.

National Adoption Month offers the perfect opportunity for people to become more informed about the subject. “A heart, a home, and a hope: If I can do it so can you” offers a unique way for them to receive that information, in a slim volume with multiple perspectives.

Margaret Schwartz, the author of the foreword offers the following viewpoints: “There are many paths that we take in life. Some of them are short and narrow, others are long and wide. If we are lucky, we find someone along the way to teach us the essentials of a good life; honesty, respect, courage, and, most importantly, the ability to love. Many abandoned children in today's society have never known the love of a parent, who patiently opens their heart and their home, in spite of the child's physical or emotional challenges.”

In addition to celebrating National Adoption Month 2011, a portion of the proceeds from every sale of the book goes to the Just 4 Us Foundation, an organization which works to impact the quality of life for children with special needs, at-risk youth and families. The cost of the book is $11.00 and will be available at www.andreeharris.com
