Nashville, TN, October 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- History And Suspense Come Alive In FA Shepherd’s Two Books Horse Creek Lemonade and The Massacre at Noe Creek.
In Horse Creek Lemonade, Shepherd weaves a delightful tale of industrial espionage and conspiracy. Horse Creek Chemical Company is on the verge of bankruptcy due to the arrogance and incompetence of a former president. Chemicals from kudzu, including a new biofuel that promises to free Horse Creek from dependence on foreign oil may ease the company's money problems. But, an explosion and fire in their pilot plant may dash those hopes. When a former employee is brought back to investigate the accident he discovers drugs, terrorists, and a moonshining operation that could cause them much bigger problems than a fire in their pilot plant. The unorthodox methods he uses to deal with the drugs, terrorists, and a nosy revenuer causes them even more problems.
Horse Creek Lemonade deals with industrial problems as old as the chemical industry and as new as today's headlines about illegal immigrants, terrorists and drug problems.

The Massacre at Noe Creek combines history, fiction and some of the author’s own experiences to weave a set of tales that will delight and fascinate anyone who opens it. The title story of The Massacre at Noe Creek spans the time between the Civil War and some 15 years after the end of WW II. This story exemplifies Shepherd’s ability to seamlessly blend history and fiction to create a riveting narrative. In the book’s second story, Colonial Heights Road, Shepherd combines his own coming of age with the early history of this Kingsport bedroom community. With vivid detail, Shepherd describes life in this small crossroads community during the 1940’s. The Massacre at Noe Creek is a collection of partly truth and partly fiction stories and tales that skillfully transports readers to places and times forgotten and unknown with settings as exotic as Moscow and as mundane as the local fishing hole.
