Golfers Tee Off for the Troops
The Exclusive Wood Ranch Golf Club holds a Golf Tournament to benefit For The Troops, in sending care packages to the Troops and to the Disabled American Veterans Local chapter 55 in Simi Valley.
Simi Valley, CA, October 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Golfers from all over will merge to the beautiful, private, exclusive Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, adjacent to the The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to participate in an all-day extraordinary purpose… golfing For The Troops.
Beneficiaries of the event will go to For The Troops, a non profit organization that collects and fundraises to prepare “We Care” packages and ships them to all the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan constantly, and to the Disabled American Veterans Local 55, Simi Valley, CA. “The event will help send thousands of packages to our Troops for the holidays, to show our appreciation while they sacrifice their lives and families for us, and help our local Disabled Veterans as they help our returning Troops,” claims Jiovanni Yacobellis, Tournament Director, who continues, “To date For the Troops has sent nearly 50,000 packages to the men and women serving with letters and cards from those who care and a ton of supplies and goodies.”
The event fee is $150 per person, 4 person scramble, and includes: Greens Fees

The event will be hosted by actor and musician Mickey Jones and will feature The Laker Girls, The Dixon Vixens and the Roaring Lion girls. This tournament welcomes young adults aged 12-17 with a parent/guardian participating.
