This Old House® and The Money Pit® Renew Alliance for Third Year

Two of America’s top home improvement media brands, This Old House® and The Money Pit®, have renewed their multimedia partnership, helping home enthusiasts make the best project and product choices.

New York, NY, November 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Two of America’s top home improvement media brands, This Old House® and The Money Pit®, have renewed their multimedia partnership, helping home enthusiasts make the best project and product choices.

Combining decades of collective home improvement experience, Kevin O’Connor, host of the Emmy® Award-winning PBS television series This Old House, along with the show’s general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey and landscape contractor Roger Cook, join The Money Pit radio hosts Tom Kraeutler and Leslie Segrete every week for a special This Old House segment. The content airs across the entire Money Pit Media Radio Network of 285+ radio stations, on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, as well as via the top rated Money Pit Podcast and online at MoneyPit.com.

New for 2012, Money Pit Media and This Old House Ventures will leverage the TV show, This Old House Magazine, the national radio show, and both websites to offer exclusive integrated sponsorship opportunities around the content of both programs.

“The Money Pit and This Old House are a magical combination,” says Money Pit co-host and Money Pit Media CEO Tom Kraeutler. “Despite challenges in the housing market, this partnership has grown and made a real difference for our audience and sponsors.”

That sentiment is shared by This Old House’s VP of Television Operations, Michael Burton, who adds, "Our partnership with The Money Pit provides our viewers with a chance to hear from our guys on a weekly basis with smart tips and great insights into their everyday DIY challenges. We are pleased to be continuing the partnership and are looking forward to building on this relationship."

Coming this Fall, The Money Pit will produce a special 2-hour special with the entire team from This Old House as they complete production of the current season’s project in Bedford, MA. The program, which will air nationally the week of November 22, 2011, will highlight the transformation of one of the oldest and most storied houses in the show's 32-year history: the Nathaniel Page Homestead in Bedford, Massachusetts, a home built circa 1720 and once occupied by a participant in the American Revolutionary War.
