Under One Roof Celebrates Its 20th Year and $4 Million Raised at Annual Holiday Premier Event
Today, Under One Roof (www.underoneroof.org), San Francisco’s only HIV & AIDS charity gift shop, announces it will be celebrating 20 wonderful years as a full-time store at its festive annual Holiday Premier event on Thursday, November 17th at its Castro location.
San Francisco, CA, November 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The 2011 Holiday Premier event will commemorate the over $4 million raised for local HIV and AIDS charities since Under One Roof opened its doors. It will feature refreshments courtesy of local vendors, San Francisco celebrities, a charity raffle, fabulous entertainment and of course, amazing gifts and ornaments for purchase.

Shoppers at the Premier will receive free raffle tickets for a variety of wonderful prizes from local donors; the more you spend, the more chances to win.
The event will be hosted by the always glamorous and stunning Pollo Del Mar. Guests will also be able to enjoy delicious refreshments provided by Castro’s own Hot Cookie, Harvey’s, Sausage Factory and La Mediterranee. Additional event sponsors include SFA Creative, the Bay Area Reporter, Citizen and Body.
Celebrated Bay Area Chef Garrett Adair will be cooking live at Under One Roof during the Premier, and serving samplings of his culinary delights to all attendees. Thumbprint Cellars will be providing the wine pairings for Chef Adair’s hors d’oeuvres, and complimentary champagne will be provided by the award-winning Barefoot Winery.
Under One Roof was created in 1991 by a group of friends in San Francisco who opened a small retail shop on Market street for the holiday season, with the goal of donating the proceeds to local AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs). Customers were thrilled to support the fight against AIDS – and raise funds for loved ones – simply by giving gifts.
Two years after its initial launch, Under One Roof opened a year-round store, dedicated to providing unrestricted funding to ASOs with limited fundraising capabilities. It has continued to thrive for two decades due to the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, generous donors and the San Francisco community.
