Cash Grants Available for Women Seeking Education to Improve Their Family’s Lives: Local Women’s Service Organization Seeks Applicants for Soroptimist International Women

San Ramon, CA, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Soroptimist International of San Ramon Valley, a volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, is seeking applicants for their Women’s Opportunity Awards. Applications are currently available at http://soroptimist-sr.org/index.php/grants. The application deadline is November 15, 2011.

Since 1972, the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards program has provided financial resources to women who are the primary wage earners for their families to assist in their efforts to attain higher education or additional skills and training. The award can be used for tuition, books, childcare, carfare or any other education-related expense.

Soroptimist International of San Ramon Valley will provide cash awards of up to $3000 to award recipients. Recipients become eligible to advance to the regional and national levels of Soroptimist International where additional cash prizes are awarded.
