Cost vs. Value – Agency Compensation Models in 2011
IAA Thought Leadership event to feature Darren Woolley, founder TrinityP3.
Sydney, Australia, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The International Advertising Association (IAA) Australia Chapter will address the topic of agency remuneration and compensation in Sydney on November 22. The breakfast event, the latest in the IAA’s Thought Leadership series, will feature Darren Woolley of TrinityP3.
TrinityP3 is Asia Pacific’s leading strategic marketing management consultancy with an international network of more than 30 industry professionals helping align people, purpose and process to deliver maximum marketing value.
Darren Woolley will highlight current pressures on marketing expenditure and discuss the critical importance of value creation for all stakeholders within the local marketing communication industry.
He will argue that new agency remuneration and compensation models are required in the context of changing commercial and strategic dynamics within media and marketing industries.
Woolley noted, "The industry is suffering from an obsession with cost and not balancing this with value. Marketers are trying to do more with less, when they often do not know if more is even more effective. Procurement is driving down price to prove their value and agencies are often playing along just to be in the game. At the same time marketers are complaining about lack of talent and high turnover in agencies and agencies are complaining about diminishing or non-existing profits. It is literally 'a race to the bottom' as Rob Morgan put it, where no one will be the winner. So something has to change, and change now."
