West Virginia's ACE Adventure Center Announces 2007 Competitive Events
Three adventure races are slated to occur at ACE Adventure Center located in Oak Hill, West Virginia. The 7th annual XTERRA ACE Big Canyon Off-Road Triathlon will take place on Sunday, June 3rd. The popular New River Bike Fest, a West Virginia Mountain Bike Association point series event, will take place on Sunday, August 26th. The Mountain State Trail Run Series point event, the 6th Annual New River Gorge-ous Trail Run and Walk will take place on Saturday, October 27th.
Oak Hill, WV, April 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- West Virginia’s largest adventure center has announced its 2007 calendar of races. Special Events Coordinator, Jeff Walls, joins the ACE administrative staff this season after overseeing course building and development for the past five years and will serve as the race coordinator for each event.
The 7th annual XTERRA ACE Big Canyon Off-Road Triathlon begins the competitive events series for the season on Sunday, June 3rd. Part of the international XTERRA American Tour series, this points race features the only down-river swimming section in the country. Registration is now open and participants can go to www.aceraft.com/XTERRA/XTERRA-ace-big-canyon-tri.html for details. New for 2007; relay divisions for multiple member entries.
The August race, the New River Bike Fest, is sanctioned by the West Virginia Mountain Bike Association (WVMBA). This event drew a record crowd in 2006 and is slated for Sunday, August 26th.
Spectacular fall foliage and a challenging course highlight the 6th Annual New River Gorge-ous Trail Run and Walk slated for Saturday, October 27, 2007. Three course lengths are available for participants and it is the final event in the Mountain State Trail Run Series.
