QNAP Introduces New QUSBCam QPKG Add-on to Support Surveillance Station USB Webcam Recording
Taipei, Taiwan, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- QNAP Systems, Inc. today announced a new QUSBCam QPKG add-on for its Turbo NAS series. The new QUSBCam QPKG allows users to connect a UVC-compliant (USB Video Class) USB webcam to the QNAP Turbo NAS and utilize the QNAP Surveillance Station to record and playback videos, building a budget-saving surveillance system for home or office environments.
“The new add-on transforms the Turbo NAS into an economical video surveillance system,” said Jason Hsu, product manager of QNAP. “By connecting a compatible USB webcam to a QNAP Turbo NAS, users can easily set up scheduled recording and enjoy up to 720p (960x720) HD video recording quality at 5 FPS.”
Home and office users can not only record webcam streams 24/7 and search recorded videos by the time frame, they can also access the live video stream remotely over the Internet. The QUSBCam QPKG now facilitates a simple and affordable home and office surveillance system that would usually be costly and complicated to implement.
