Fort Worth-Based Charitable Fund Appoints New Member to Board of Directors
Dr. Stuart Pickell will assume the role of treasurer for the NTSP Charitable Fund at the November 4 board meeting.
Fort Worth, TX, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NTSP Charitable Fund – a non-profit organization created by North Texas Specialty Physicians (NTSP), an independent physician association – has named Dr. Stuart Pickell as treasurer. Pickell will assume his position at the NTSP Charitable Fund board meeting on November 4.
Pickell is an active member of the community and has served North Texas patients for over 10 years. He has been involved in mission work in Haiti and volunteer work with Christian Community Clinic. Pickell also serves on committees for a number of community-based healthcare organizations including the Christian Community Clinic and the Tarrant County Medical Society. He also chairs the Tarrant County Ethics Consortium and the Ethics Committee at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Pickell and look forward to his involvement in guiding our Charitable Fund programs and initiatives. Recently, we were able to provide grant opportunities for three community organizations that aligned with our mission and we’re in the process of completing our current initiative of providing laptops to local organizations in need,” said Dr. Mark Presley, NTSP Charitable Fund Board Director. “Dr. Pickell’s years of experience with other community initiatives centered on care improvement and his commitment to helping others in the community outside of his practice will prove to be an asset to our organization, our partners and the patients we serve.”
Dr. Pickell is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics with a private practice in Fort Worth. He has been a member of NTSP since 2001 and has been actively involved with other NTSP organizations and programs that benefit overall health and care delivery for North Texas patients.
Pickell replaces Dr. Mark Alford who served on the NTSP Charitable Fund Board of Directors since its founding in 2009. For more information about the NTSP Charitable Fund, visit www.ntspcf.org.
