Energy and Transactions Attorney Douglas F. Pedigo Rejoins Thompson & Knight in Houston

Pedigo focuses his practice on energy and transactional matters, electric power generation, wind power, biofuels, geothermal and other alternative energy sources, natural gas and electric power marketing and trading, risk management transactions, power plant, midstream and downstream facility construction and operations, EPC contracts, oil and gas drilling, production, processing, marketing, transportation and end-use of oil and natural gas, LNG facilities, and litigation and dispute resolution. He also has extensive experience in domestic and global development of large infrastructure projects.

He has served in executive legal positions for several large energy companies, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and President, South Central Region, for NRG Energy, Inc., a Fortune 500 independent power generation company, where he oversaw a region comprised of 4,400 MW of coal- and natural gas-fired electric generating facilities and 350 employees. Pedigo also served as Senior Vice President for Product Development for Integrated Solutions for NRG, where he worked on developing new energy products and integrating them into to salable solutions for customers. He was previously a Partner of Thompson & Knight from 2003-2010.
