Vincent Roa Chosen as a Finalist for the 2011 WWPR Woman of the Year Award

Rockville, MD, November 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Donna Vincent Roa, Managing Partner & Chief Strategist at Vincent Roa Group, a Maryland-based business and science communication firm, has been shortlisted for the 2011 Washington PR Woman of the Year Award by the Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR).

Dr. Roa is among the three finalists for the award, which is presented to a public relations practitioner in the Washington Metropolitan area for her leadership, integrity and community involvement. The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Nov. 15, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Capital Hilton hotel in Washington, D.C.

An IABC-accredited business communicator (ABC) and a recent winner of the Association for Women in Communication Matrix Award for her achievements in global communication, Dr. Roa is a rainmaker, master strategist, and water sector communication expert who builds best-in-class portfolios and re-engineers the way organizations communicate.

She also served as an Environment Commissioner for the City of Rockville, and was most recently the Public Affairs Director and Director of Science Communications at the US Environmental Protection Agency.
