Centellax Announces 32G Stressed Serial BERT for 100G Ethernet, InfiniBand, SerDes, and Fibre Channel Testing
Santa Rosa, CA, November 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Centellax announces the release of a new 3-32 Gb/s Stressed Serial BERT Solution (model #SSB32) intended for serial data test requirements for 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) standards. This new solution also offers affordable compliance testing for 4-32G Fibre Channel and InfiniBand EDR/FDR standards, as well as SerDes testing for communication ICs.
The SSB32 system contains a serial BERT controller (SSB16000 or SSB16000J) and pattern generator (PG32) and error detector (ED32) remote-mountable heads. This modular system allows for flexibility in features and pricing: the SSB16000 provides a single tone of sinusoidal jitter (SJ) and the SSB16000J offers two independent sources of SJ along with broadband true random jitter sources. Additionally, the SSB16000J allows all three clock outputs to be modulated with spread spectrum, with a deviation settable up to 1.0% of the clock frequency (10,000 ppm).
"Finally, there is a solution for higher speed BERTs at an affordable price point," said Steve Sekel, Vice President of Product Management at Centellax, Inc. "We are able to offer a solution for users needing 25G and 28G bit error rate testers at $100,000 less than the competition. Plus, the performance and built-in programmable patterns make our system an excellent choice for R&D characterization and manufacturing test needs."
SSB32 Features include:
Pattern Generation and Error Detection operate across the entire frequency range of the controller
Integrated clock source with calibrated stress capability
Built-in selection of PRBS and common telecom/datacom test patterns
Fully programmable user-defined patterns
Remote heads place the signal very close to DUT
Fully programmable generator output/detector input parameters
Remote control through USB or GPIB
Compact size
Graphical user interface: Centellax Signal Integrity Studio
