Bruno Somerset Releases His Debut Novel, "God, Guns, and the Perfect Chicken-Fried Steak"
Fort Worth, TX, April 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- "God, Guns, and the Perfect Chicken-Fried Steak", the debut novel from Fort Worth author Bruno Somerset, is now available on Amazon and from Lulu Press, the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books. It will also be available in bookstores and other major online retailers in May 2007.
"God, Guns, and the Perfect Chicken-Fried Steak" is the story of Jake Donovan, a former Army sniper turned preacher. As he struggles with doubts about his religious calling, he receives shocking news about a man he killed during a covert operation in South America twenty years earlier. In the course of working through this revelation, he must also deal with radical Fundamentalist Christians, unhappy Republicans, a fringe Catholic Order, an angry fiancé, a strange Buddhist girlfriend, and what may be the dead man's ghost.
Bruno Somerset wrote "God, Guns, and the Perfect Chicken-Fried Steak" during National Novel Writing Month in November 2005, an experience he recommends wholeheartedly.
“It was more fun than a Thursday night in Lufkin,” Somerset said.
