HomeFire Media Launches Teen Website, Bubblegum Robot
Bubblegumrobot.com is built around the concept of good, clean fun. Teen authors, artists, videographers get the chance to share in their own online space.
West Hills, CA, November 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- HomeFire Media, a privately held editorial services company, has launched a teen-oriented website, Bubblegum Robot.
It's hard being a teen these days, with all the school, social and peer pressures that force children to grow up too fast, not to mention all the work, work, work just to get into a good college so you can have a future. Today's teens hardly get the chance to just be kids any more.
Bubblegum Robot, at http://bubblegumrobot.com, is a website that remembers what fun is. Whether it be anime, music, movies, short stories, original artwork, videos, games or how-to articles on topics like whistling loudly or building a pocket catapult, teens are invited to share and learn from each other in a positive, upbeat space highlighted by a touch of whimsy and a good-old Tom Sawyer sense of mischief.
Bubblegum Robot is also raising funds to help its launch at http://rockethub.com/projects/3545-bubblegum-robot.
Bubblegum Robot allows contributors to submit their fun, crazy, cool or outrageous content to the editors (they're adults, but they're cool) and get their work posted on the site.
"It's a little bit like stone soup," says editor Fred Winterson. "That's the story where a poor boy is hungry but all he has is a kettle. So he makes 'soup' using water and a stone. The other villagers get so interested that they start contributing potatoes, carrots, onions, meat, spices and so on. By the time they're done, it's the best soup anyone's ever tasted.
"With Bubblegum Robot, the more our visitors contribute, the better it's going to be. This is going to be a very exciting website. I hope everyone comes to check it out and join in."
