DivePro - Info Finally Back Online
DivePro - Info is finally back online. After a four month break the website is improved, based on a completely new backbone and better than ever. For many professional divers DivePro - Info (www.divepro-info.com) is not a new name. Initially founded in late 2004 as a primarily diving professional oriented message board / forum it saw its first major "overhaul" in mid 2006.
Kingston, Jamaica, April 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- DivePro - Info's staff "kicked back" for the last four month and re-evaluated the whole project and the technical aspects of it, taking suggestions and requests of members into consideration and basically took their time to come up with a better and safer website while driving their wifes / girl and boyfriends towards uncontrolled outbreaks of rage.
Yesterday the new, final version of www.divepro-info.com was uploaded. The platform was completely rewritten to a safer system (which required extensive rewrites of software and existent database) and incorporates several new features while keeping everything close to the well known former concept. As before, DivePro - Info has no features or sections that require any fees as some other websites. All content is as before free of charge and requires for access to some areas only a simple user registration, which can be done in as little as 2min (well it wasn't timed, but its close).
Beside the old features as the scuba news section, forums etc. the new site incorporates:
+ A new media gallery, allowing for the upload of not only pictures, but video, audio and other files as well with an initial 500mb storage per user.
+ A free to use scuba (and related) classifieds system with categories covering employment, travel, courses, equipment and more. New (sub)categories can be created within extremely short timespan to satisfy all needs.
+ A Google Earth based map application, allowing members to visualize locations (and therefore further support contacts with other members in the same area) as well as setting markers for other things like "putting your business on the map" incl. a short note, marking dive sites for fellow divers around the world ... (your imagination is the limit!).
+ The old weblinks section is there as well with new categories (once again, new ones can be created in a matter of minutes as need arises) with 800+ links and constantly growing as visitors add new links.
+ Improved download section with much easier upload procedures and up to 20mb of file size per upload which can be increased if needed
+ Requested of many members, finally Skype VoIP integration
Many other new features are being created and tested at this point. Expect many more features to be implemented over time. DivePro - Info is happy to listen to users wishes and ideas and realize them if possible.
As professional, why not use the free marketing possibilities offered by DivePro - Info? Becoming a member of a growing community of diving professionals which actually care about quality training, working conditions in the diving industry, commitment to other recreational divers, environmental issues etc.
It's easy - join www.divepro-info.com, start actively participating and meet many new people in an international community to have fun, profit in one way or another and make a difference for scuba diving as a sport.
DivePro - Info was the brainchild of dive professionals with concerns about the scuba industry at this point and accepted standards within it, dive training, environmental issues affecting the sport and many other related problems.
Realizing that many professional concerns cross with recreational divers issues DivePro - Info started to broaden the focus towards the recreational diving community as well to create a communication platform for divers of all levels interested to keep the sport alive and innovative.
