Local Chorus Performs with a Purpose
The Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus is putting on their annual show, Saturday, November 19th at 7:30 pm at the Union High School PAC. A portion of the proceeds is being donated to the Union Choral Parents Association and two groups from Union schools will be performing on the show.
Tulsa, OK, November 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Sweet Adelines Intl Region 25 1st Place small chorus, the Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus is partnering with the Union Choral Parents Association to present its annual show, Singin’ and Swingin’ for the Holidays at 7:30pm on November 19 at the Union Performing Arts Center, 6636 S. Mingo Road in their annual show “Singin’ N Swingin’ for the Holidays.”
Filled with humor and music, this family –friendly show features a large variety of songs performed by the chorus, featured quartets and the Union Harmony and Treble Makers choruses. “We enjoy sharing the art of a capella singing with these talented young ladies. A portion of the show proceeds will be shared with them to assist with the costs of music,” said Frank Friedeman, Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus Director.
Talk of Tulsa is a female a capella chorus consisting of 25 women varying in age from early teens to late sixties who enjoy sharing the Tulsa originated art of barbershop singing through educational workshops, student mentoring, and performances throughout Tulsa and surrounding communities. Awarded first place in the small chorus division at the Region 25 Sweet Adleines competition for 2010 and 2011, the lively group of vocal artists are eager to entertain you with a mix of tunes from many genres as well as classic Christmas favorites.
