Two Way Internet Communication with WiFi Sensor for LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT
Dexter Industries Publishes Instructions on How to Setup a TCP Server and Communicate with LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Robots Over the Internet.
Stafford, VA, November 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dexter Industries published a tutorial on how to use its new WiFi Sensor with the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) with the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robotics system.
The TCP server on the new WiFi Sensor transmits and receives information, making it a two-way communication wireless sensor to be used with Lego Mindstorms NXT. The WiFi Sensor can be used as a server and as a client, both sending commands and information as well as gathering incoming data.
The TCP server and client functions on the new Wifi sensor are easy to use and allow LEGO robots to communicate, for the first time, over the Internet.
Published instructions on the Dexter Industries website and blog show detailed examples of how to use the WiFi interface with TCP using RobotC coding language. Dexter Industries celebrated the release of the the WiFi Sensor on November 4th by proclaiming “WiFi Week.” Each day it will publish a new tutorial which will demonstrate the WiFi Sensor’s capabilities.
