The Giving Card Launches Today with the Help of Postcode Anywhere
Point of sale discount card launched today uses validation software from Postcode Anywhere.
Worcester, United Kingdom, November 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Giving Card is a point of sale discount card that aims to provide charities with additional donations, members with discounts from a wide range of suppliers throughout the UK and to provide those suppliers with more business.
Founded by young entrepreneur Dan Taylor, The Giving Card hopes to raise millions of pounds for charities all over the UK by giving away 50% of all profits as donations. As Dan says, though, the goal is to help both charities and businesses in these troubled times.
“I started the company after I finished university, over a year ago. With businesses and charities both struggling to stay afloat in the poor economic climate, I really wanted to find a way to help bring them together.”
According to Dan, turning the vision into reality has meant paying attention to detail. As in any charitable venture - making it easy for people give has to be matched by precision execution to keep the operation running smoothly and efficiently.

“We also use bank validation software so that our members can sign-up to our membership using direct-debit, allowing users to renew their card before it expires. Without this facility we could endure payment errors and would have to re-contact our customers to check the information making it a rather drawn out process.
“And, the requirement of validating bank details at point of entry is not just mandatory from a Direct Debit perspective, but also from a customer service one, speeding up the process for them. The more professional our website looks the more confidence customers will have in us as a company.
"Leaving information as important as address and bank details to be manually inputted is simply not acceptable. It would mean sending card to the wrong address and failing to process payments.
