Triangle Direct Media Donates to Gamers for Cures Charity Event
Triangle Direct Media donates to 24 Hour Board Game Marathon for Turner Syndrome Society of the United States.
Cary, NC, November 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Online Marketing and SEO Firm, Triangle Direct Media (TDM) has taken part in sponsoring the 24 Hour Board Game Marathon to help support the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States which officially starts on November 12, 2011 at the Armory in Cary, North Carolina.
The Turner Syndrome Society of the United States (TSSUS) is a nation-wide non-profit organization that helps families, patients as well as physicians support for Turner syndrome. Turner Syndrome varies from female to female, and is a chromosomal condition that causes partial or complete absence of the second chromosome. Many physical abnormalities can be associated with the disease as well as problems with the heart, kidneys, thyroid, and ears. Also, many girls and women are susceptible to Celiac disease. Over 70,000 women and girls are affected with this illness in the United States.
To ensure that TSSUS will be able to hold an annual conference with speakers from a variety of professions including medical experts, social workers, educators and psychologists; the Gamers for Cures Association (a charity for gamers to give back to the community) has planned a 24 Hour Board Game-A-Thon where all of the proceeds will go to TSSUS.
"At TDM, we like to support our local community, and are proud to support this important cause," said Anthony Feriozzi, President of Triangle Direct Media.
Triangle Direct has previously worked with other non-profit organizations such as Stop Child Trafficking Now (SCTNow), The World Wildlife Federation and the Cary Run Walk Festival.
The Gamers For Cures event has raised a total of $1,900 so far which is only 3% away from their target goal of $2,000. There is still time to donate for this event. Interested parties need to go to https://www.firstgiving.com/process/EGGDonate/Default.asp and enter in their donation amount.
