J. Burrage Publications, LLC Announces the Debut of Padre by Jennifer Leeper
J. Burrage Publications, LLC, a groundbreaking new publisher, has announced the release of Padre, a story of disillusionment, coming to terms with the past and the strange twists that life can take.
Mesilla Park, NM, November 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- J. Burrage Publications, LLC, has officially announced the release of Padre, written by Jennifer Leeper. Padre is Leeper’s latest literary work in a long line of fiction and nonfiction creations.
J. Burrage Publications, LLC, is very proud to announce the debut of Padre, Jennifer Leeper’s first book to be published via their innovative platform. The story centers on Russell Capshaw, a successful advertising executive from New York City. During a business trip to Tokyo, Capshaw suddenly finds himself questioning his professional motivations as well as the purpose to his life. Disillusioned with reality, Capshaw descends in an emotional whirlwind of drug abuse, spiraling into chaos.
After his international drug binge, Russell Capshaw lands in a detox facility located in Dublin, Ireland. Seeking a connection with something concrete, Russell contacts his only living relative, Damian Capshaw, an uncle living in the small Irish town of Naas, whom he has not seen since his own parents’ funeral. In desperation to find some meaning, Russell goes to live with Damien, where he slowly begins to reconnect with the man he knew from his childhood.
Damien reveals to his nephew that he has undergone a spiritual reversion, once again finding the faith of his childhood, Catholicism. Russell must come to terms with his own beliefs and perceptions, facing the faith that he lost as a child. Through Damien’s quiet devotion and his own inner seeking, Russell finds himself drawn to a life he never imagined in the lush Irish countryside.
Padre is a tale of disillusionment with the modern trappings of “success”, of facing inner demons and coming to terms with things long thought dead and buried. Jennifer Leeper has eloquently captured the inner battle that so many people face in this day and age, giving voice to silent yearnings for a life with deeper meaning.
