Carl W. Herrmann Furs Celebrates 111th Anniversary; Gives Back to Local Pittsburgh Charities

Pittsburgh, PA, November 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Pittsburgh fur company, Carl W. Herrmann Furs, will celebrate 111 years in business with a week-long anniversary event, beginning with a VIP party on 11/11/11. Proceeds from door prizes and a raffle at the VIP party will benefit three local charities – Project Bundle-Up, The Dollar Energy Fund, and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, which will be on-site during the event. A portion of sales during the week following the VIP celebration will also go to the benefit these organizations.

Owned and operated by four generations of father and son since opening in 1900, Guy Herrmann – son and current co-owner– wanted to have a party in appreciation of their many devoted customers, and to honor his father, Carl W. Herrmann, for his own sixty years as an integral part of the company.

“Few get the privilege to work with their father, an expert, or leader in their industry. I have had the opportunity to experience all three! If I get half the compliments that my father has received over the years, I’ll know I’ve done a pretty good job,” said Guy Herrmann.
