Bizitioning™ Expands Internship Program with the Help of Current Interns
Missoula, MT, November 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Interns Helping Interns: Internship Program Expansion will Allow More to Gain the Necessary Skills to Forge Ahead of the Competition in a Fierce Job Market.
Bizitioning™, a coaching/consulting company that caters to service professionals looking to attract more clients, run by entrepreneur Theresa Whiteside, is expanding its current internship program to meet growing demand for experience-boosting opportunities with the help of current Intern Program Coordinators, Martha Burgett and Lindsay Boyle. Bizitioning™ provides internship learning opportunities in a variety of areas allowing individuals (primarily college students and recent graduates) the opportunity to gain valuable, resume-enhancing experience they need in this tough job market.
The internship program arose from a need that was recognized by founder Whiteside. As she states, “it occurred to me that I have the ability to provide nurturing and educational opportunities for people struggling in the current job market by mentoring individuals that are hungry for experience but are caught in the Catch - 22 of the whole thing: it’s difficult to get the experience without the job, and it’s difficult to get the job without the experience.”
Current internship opportunities at Bizitioning™ include Intern Program Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, Computer Technology Specialist, and the most recently added Public Speaking Liaison. Each of these internships build skills specific to that position. For example, the Intern Program Coordinator (IPC) interns learn human resource and management skills that will allow them to boost their resume and move a gigantic leap forward to the job of their dreams. They work along Whiteside in creating new internship positions while maintaining and improving the current program. This experience not only benefits current IPC interns, but will now provide future interns the opportunity to gain experience in their field of interest. The new program expansion will allow individuals looking for skills in the public speaking or event planning arena to also gain an advantage over the competition when looking for their next desired job with the valuable experience this internship program provides.
Whiteside created the program aiming to help individuals gain the experience they need to get the job they desired. Most of the internship positions can be performed virtually from anywhere in the U.S., with the exception of a handful of positions which require on-site work. Providing a virtual experience allows interns to work around their current work/school/family schedule without sacrificing the income they need to survive, yet still having the opportunity to complete a valuable hands-on learning experience. Bizitioning™ began the internship program in early 2011 with three successful interns, and currently has five interns. But Whiteside is not done yet as, recognizing the value she received from the 3 internships she completed during her academic career, she seeks to pay it forward while mentoring more individuals on the road to success.
