Electro Standards Labs Introduces a New A/B Switch Geared for Video Conference Room Applications
The new Model 7269V DB9 A/B switch is configured to switch video conference, broadcast and presentation systems with simple push-button control or with remote ASCII commands.
Cranston, RI, November 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories announces the new Model 7269V A/B switch that is designed for use in video conference rooms. The switch is configured to support Tandberg Camera and Codec Connections. Electro Standards has managed to incorporate local and remote control, visual LED display, and versatility into a slim rackmount unit that fits into a standard 19" rack. This switch is a valuable media switching solution.
The Model 7269V DB9 Interface A/B Switch allows the user the capability of sharing a single DB9 interface device connected to the COMMON port with two other devices connected to the A and B ports. The A and B ports are configured to support popular video conferencing connections.
The switch may be controlled locally via push-button or remotely via the DB9 female serial interface control port located on the rear panel. Switch position states may be attained locally via the front panel LED display or remotely using RS232 serial data commands.
The switch ports are transparent to all data. All pins of the DB9 interface are switched making this switch applicable to any DB9 interfaced device. Pins 1 and 6 use CAT 7 cable material. Pins 4 and 5 support 12VDC, 1.5A. All other pins support serial data communications.
ASCII RS232 serial data commands are used to remotely control the switch position, query switch status, and to lock or unlock the front panel push-button control. The reliable Model 7269V maintains the switch position and continues to pass data during a power loss. Front-panel LED’s display the current switch position and the switch power status.
Electro Standards Laboratories developed the Model 7269V to be equipped for worldwide operation. An optional wide range power module is available that is CE and UL listed. This module supports 110VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz requirements.
The Model 7269V is housed in a slim rackmount configuration and fits into a standard 19” rack. The dimensions are 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The switch weighs approximately 4.5 lbs. (2.0 kg). Custom length network cables are available from Electro Standards Laboratories for switch installation.
