Catenate Sdn Bhd Secure Major UK Auto Parts Contract

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Catenate Sdn Bhd are delighted to confirm that they have been awarded preferred supplier status to UK Automotive Parts supplier, N C Lancaster Ltd.

Effective from Jan 3rd 2007, the contract is for the supply of flexible exhaust couplings to N C Lancaster automotive aftermarket supplies division and potentially replaces all of N C Lancaster’s requirements for this product group, for the first time appointing a preferred supplier for all exhaust system variants.

Catenate is aiming to deliver an enhanced service to N C Lancaster and its customers with better quality products, customer service, improved logistics and single point administration, leading to significant savings and increased control of inventory.

Catenate were appointed with ‘preferred Vendor status’ following a formal selection process, quality audit and lengthy and ongoing production line product compliance testing by N C Lancaster customers in the UK. Mr Neville Clokey, CEO of N C Lancaster explains, “Catenate put a great deal of effort into addressing all of the operational issues that we had regarding a preferred vendor sourcing policy, particularly for such an important product line, however until our customers tested the products compliance and compatibility in actual production line conditions, we were unable to proceed and formalize the excellent overall offering from Catenate. This was done in record time, and with the majority of our customers now using the Malaysian product, I’m sure that Catenate can deliver exemplary service to N C Lancaster and its customers and will provide a benchmark for other vendors across our product range.”

The contract which began in February will be formally signed at the final leg of the A1 Grand Prix at Brands Hatch on April 29th 2007. Catenate is a commercial sponsor of A1 GP Team Malaysia.
