ROPV to Supply the Pressure Vessels for Singapore’s Tuaspring Desalination Plant
ROPV pressure vessels selected by Hyflux as it plays an integral role in promoting Singapore's water sustainability
Brentwood, CA, November 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ROPV, the largest performance engineered pressure vessels in the Asia Pacific region; today announced that Hyflux has awarded it the contract to supply its pressure vessel requirements.
Hyflux’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tuaspring Pte Ltd, will supply the PUB with 84 million gallons (318,500 m3/day) of desalinated water a day over a 25-year period. To date it is Hyflux’s largest project by value and is the second largest UF membrane installation after Algeria’s Magdaa Desalination Plant. The Tuas II plant is expected to commence operations by 2013.

ROPV will supply Hyflux with 4,860 pressure vessels. This is ROPV’s second major project in Singapore where it supplied Biwater 1,980 pressure vessels for the Sembcorp Changi NEWater plant (SCNP) which was awarded the 2010 GWI Award for Water Reuse Project of the Year.
