Coastal to Host an Air Barrier Association of America Training Course
East Windsor, NJ, November 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Coastal will be hosting an Air Barrier Association of America Spray Polyurethane Foam Installer training course, scheduled for November 29 – December 1, 2011.
Two classes will be offered: the Installer Certification Training course (taking place on November 29 – December 1, 2011), and the Quality Assurance Program Administrator course (November 29, 2011). Coastal will be providing the room for both the classroom lecture and hands-on training.
The installer certification program combines theory with hands-on, practical instruction, in order to provide participants with the required skills to correctly install an air barrier assembly. When the course is complete, an installer should be able to: read and understand plans and specifications; select the proper material for the application; determine the proper substrate conditions; demonstrate proper application of the material; ensure the compatibility of components, and continuity over joints and junctions; undertake the required testing; accurately complete documentation; and complete the installation in a safe manner.
The quality assurance course gives participants an introduction to air barriers; materials vs. systems; building code requirements; site installation realities and installer testing requirements. The program also delivers an overview of the ABAA Quality Assurance Program, contractor and installer obligations, and project reporting and documentation.
The registration deadline for the programs is November 15, 2011. Feel free to visit the ABAA website (www.airbarrier.org) for the registration form or call the office at (866) 956-5888 with any questions.
