Paracca Flooring Names Winner of Ugly Kitchen Floor Contest

Pittsburgh, PA, November 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Local Cranberry Township resident Susan McDowell has been named winner of Paracca Flooring’s Ugly Kitchen Floor Contest, winning a brand new Shaw kitchen floor from Paracca Flooring. Created to give back to the community, the contest, which took place exclusively via Facebook, gave contestants a chance to submit their ugly kitchen floor for a chance to win a new floor. Photos selected as finalists were then voted upon by friends and family of the contestants. After a close race, Susan McDowell’s ugly kitchen floor came out on top.

Susan entered the contest because her linoleum tiles’ deep designs would not come clean, were covered in paint splashes and cracked in several places. After buying a house and having to replace her roof, doors, furnace, air conditioning and kitchen appliances, next on McDowell’s list was to replace her kitchen floor. Upon winning, Susan said "This is awesome. We wouldn't have been able to afford to do this for a very long time!"
