Dr. Charlene Thorburn, R.N., D.C. of Burbank CA. is hosting her first annual “Holiday Health Special to Benefit Needy Kids” in which each person coming into the office for chiropractic care will receive a free deep tissue massage for bringing a toy for a needy child. The special runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 9, 2011.
Burbank, CA, November 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Charlene Thorburn, R.N., D.C. of Burbank CA. is hosting her first annual “Holiday Health Special to Benefit Needy Kids” in which each person coming into the office for chiropractic care will receive a free deep tissue massage for bringing a toy for a needy child. Dr. Thorburn has contributed to the community by raising funds for the YMCA, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, and Burbank Temporary Aid Center. This year’s Health Special will benefit 200 children of seasonal workers in the local area – kids who would otherwise be without presents this Christmas.
The Holiday Health Special runs from November 16th to December 9th. People coming in to Dr. Thorburn’s office with toys during these dates will receive one of her most popular therapeutic services for free -- a deep tissue massage to one area. This form of massage uses deeper pressure in order to release chronic muscle tension, soreness or knots. It increases circulation to an area and helps to remove toxins from the tissues. Unlike a full body massage, this type of muscle work focuses on one specific area of the body in order to deliver pinpointed relief.
In order to qualify for the free deep tissue massage, the person needs to receive one regular service at their visit, whether it’s a chiropractic adjustment, nutritional consultation or other service. The toys should be brought in their original box or packaging and be unopened and unwrapped. The age range for the gifts is one through nineteen.
