Go-Ped ESR-1000 EX Extended Range Electric Scooter Now Available at UrbanScooters.com
The ESR-1000 EX electric scooter from Go-Ped is the latest transportation device to be added to UrbanScooters.com's online showroom.
South Pasadena, CA, November 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Go-Ped ESR-1000 EX is the latest release from Goped (aka Patmont Motor Works / PMW) and is now available for sale from electric scooter and bike retailer, UrbanScooters.com. Several new motorized scooters have been released in 2011, but none quite as exciting as this. The "EX" in ESR1000EX stands for “extended range.” That means a rider can go twice as far as he can with the standard ESR-1000 model. Since range is a limiting factor with electric scooters, the new range extension feature built into this model by Goped is an improvement worth noting.
PMW has been the leader in stand-up motorized scooter technology for over twenty years, but the ESR line of electric scooters wasn't created until the early 2000's. The initial motorized scooter craze was all about fast, loud and outrageous gas powered stand-up scooters. Since that time, concern for our environment has taken hold and demand for eco-friendly electric models has dramatically increased. Go-ped has addressed this need with the ESR line of electric scooters.
With the Go-Ped ESR-1000 EX we see that ESR tech has progressed quite a bit since its inception. Today technology has been pushed to the edge with the addition of new Lithium Phosphate Polymer (LiFePo4) batteries.
Go-Ped applies the same wheels, frame, handlebars and every other feature on their ESR models. The difference between each of the Go-Ped ESR models is the battery system the rider chooses when he purchases the scooter. A scooter enthusiast can choose Sealed Lead Acid (SLA), top of the line Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), or the latest battery available, Lithium Phosphate Polymer (LiFePo4). Each system comes with advantages and disadvantages. SLA's are heavy, liquid filled, and not very efficient. Their range is limited. The most advanced Li-Ion batteries are very efficient, small and extremely long lasting, but they are also extremely expensive. The LiFePo4's are light, efficient, and small. They provide nearly the same performance characteristics as the Li-Ion, but for only a little more money than a rider would pay for an SLA model. UrbanScooters.com believes the LiFePo4 system offers the best compromise between price and performance.
Go-Ped has been crafting top quality, innovative motorized scooters for over twenty years. What makes the ESR-1000 EX such a fantastic electric scooter is undoubtedly the LiFePo4 batteries. UrbanScooters.com looks forward to future advancements from Patmont Motor Works and additional innovations to provide its customers.
