MediPurpose Announces 28G Safety Lancet Online Survey Kindle Drawing Winner
MediPurpose conducted the survey to further validate its extensive research about 28-gauge safety lancet market requirements.
Atlanta, GA, November 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MediPurpose(r), a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, today announced its winner of an Amazon Kindle drawing, an incentive for participants in a recent online survey for healthcare professionals to share their perspectives about 28-gauge (28G) safety lancet usage and preferences.
Richard Money of Tampa, Florida was selected as the lucky winner and will be receiving his prize this month.
The online survey was conducted earlier this month. Approximately 100 people participated in the survey.
A report of the survey's findings is being developed and will be published in coming weeks, said MediPurpose President and CSO Randy Prather.
"We appreciated the input we received from our customers and the medical community," said Prather.
MediPurpose, which manufactures and distributes the popular SurgiLance(r) safety lancet, conducted the survey to further validate its extensive research about market requirements as it moves forward with the development of a new 28G product that will meet its customers' exacting needs.
"There are a variety of 28G safety lancet configurations with varying depths present in the medical device market,” said Prather. "Rather than to simply mimic the market trends, we feel it is important to reach out to our existing customer base to ensure that the available products meet all of their needs. This survey was an opportunity for users to provide MediPurpose with valuable input on a new medical product."
The SurgiLance safety lancet portfolio currently features six models:
-- SLN100, a 26-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 1.0 mm.
-- SLN200, a 23-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 1.8 mm.
-- SLN240, a 22-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 2.2 mm.
-- SLN300, a 21-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 2.8 mm.
-- SLB200, a 19-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 1.8 mm.
-- SLB250, an 18-gauge safety lancet with a penetration depth of 2.3 mm.
MediPurpose also offers babyLance(r) heel sticks, a solution for neonatal blood collection that also provides the same safety, comfort and ease of use as SurgiLance. Both SurgiLance and babyLance have received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance.
