November and December at the UK's Only LEGOLAND Discovery Centre - Amazing Events to Come
Stormtroopers, advent calendars and MINIGURES - a fantastic round up to a great year at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.
Manchester, United Kingdom, November 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Star Wars Days - 12 & 13 November- Hands down the year's most popular event so far, the force is back in the attraction again for another weekend of Star Wars fun where family and LEGO fans who have always dreamed of having their picture taken with a stormtrooper!
All guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume - guests won't be alone as there will be experts on hand to show how it's really done. Other activities will include treasure hunts to spot the Star Wars characters hidden in MINILAND, the chance to take part in a group build of a LEGO Darth Vader and LEGO R2-D2, along with free tickets on offer for the best costume of the day!
Visitors can also take home a limited edition brick - perfect for those with a budding collection.
MINIFIGURE Swap Shop - Friday 25 - Sunday 27 November- Missing a MINIFIGURE to complete a set?
They will be hosting their first ever MINIFIGURE swap event to give fans the chance to swap any duplicates they may have with other fellow collectors.
Each set features 16 unique special MINIFIGURES contained in sealed mystery bags so shoppers never know which they might get. Each character has it's own special accessories, display plate and collector's leaflet. LEGO cannot accommodate requests for specific MINIFIGURES and some are more difficult to find so this event is the collectors chance to find that rare piece they have been seeking for some time.
At the event collectors will also be treated to a sneak peak at the next, as yet unseen in the UK, Series Six MINIFIGURE set.
Christmas - 3 - 24 December- Santa is making his list and the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is giving kids the chance to make sure their favourite LEGO set is on it this year.
The Universe section of the attraction will be transformed into Santa's workshop where guests can take part in festive LEGO builds where they will make presents and mini Christmas trees. The workshop will also feature a giant LEGO advent calendar offering a prize a day behind each door. Enter the draw for the chance to take home whatever the door reveals - expect MINIFIGURES, LEGO sets and even a Star Wars Death Star throughout the month.
MINILAND, built from more than 1.5 million LEGO bricks, brings the local area to miniature life with moving airships and trains.
Located in Barton Square at The Trafford Centre, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is made up of a series of interactive features to immerse kids into a world where their imagination can run wild with creative inspiration at every turn. Featuring a whole host of exciting attractions from the Kingdom Quest ride to an amazing recreation of the North West's most iconic buildings, the Centre not only provides fun for LEGO fans young and old, but fantastic educational benefits too.
The Centre involves just one entry fee, with all attractions included in the cost. Tickets are available online from just £8.10 per person.
