She is a business owner with her sister Sheri and brother-in-law Steve. Carla, Sheri and Steve are caregivers for their father, Charles E. Hunstable, a retired welfare supervisor and Navy man who spent much time at sea and traveling the world. Charles himself enjoys music, poetry, tinkering, and spending time with his large family of twelve children and fifty plus grandchildren. Charles, Carla and her husband, Carl, live in California.
