Woman-Owned Tech Staffing Firm Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary
As one of a few woman-owned businesses in a male-dominated technology industry, Instant Technology thrives on providing strategic staffing solutions. In the past 10 years, the firm has grown to become an award-winning $20+ million IT talent management firm.
Chicago, IL, November 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Instant Technology, an elite IT talent management firm, announced the celebration of 10 years in business this week.
In 2001 President and CEO Rona Borre left a global staffing company and a $30 million book of business to start her own company centered on leveraging relationships, creating an equal candidate and client experience, and finding the right cultural match. What started as a business in the basement of her home has now grown to a $20+ million IT talent management firm with one of the largest technical recruitment and delivery teams in the city of Chicago.
Since its launch during the dot-com bubble burst on November 14, 2001, Instant Technology has successfully expanded to provide full-service IT talent management services. Through personalized recruitment solutions, the firm assists their clients in growing and developing strong technology teams. To meet the changing needs of the market, Instant Technology has expanded to encompass multiple divisions, including their newest service offering of Project and Program Management.
As one of a few female leaders in a male-dominated industry, Borre works with her management team to go beyond the cultivation of business to have a greater impact on the technology community at large. They are heavily involved with Built In Chicago to bring Chicago to the forefront of the nation’s technology community. More recently, Borre was announced as one of only three women business leaders on the Illinois Technology Association Leadership Board, tasked with addressing the state’s technology talent gap.
Additionally, Instant Technology is the only staffing firm partnered with Excelerate Labs to help jumpstart the technical operations of today’s start-up community. The firm works with entrepreneurs to advise and educate on the recruiting process, the job market and trends, writing effective job descriptions, and identifying the right talent to grow their companies. Also, as a strong advocate of mentoring, Instant Technology has partnered with Chicago Career Tech, the mayor’s biggest initiative for job retooling and placement, which Borre and her team have taken an active role in branding and increasing awareness of their job placement programs.
“What started out 10 years ago as one of a handful of woman-owned recruitment firms in the technology arena has steadily grown into an award-winning IT talent management firm, despite the volatile economic climate,” said Borre. “We are all very proud of this accomplishment and grateful to our loyal clients and employees who helped us achieve this milestone. Our people are our greatest assets.”
