Chukar Cherries Unveils New Zip Pouches and Sauces for Holiday 2011
Re-sealable packaging insures freshness in cherry snacks and confections while savory sauces provide new and delicious ways to enjoy Northwest cherries.
Prosser, WA, November 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Due to customer requests for packages that are easy to reseal, Chukar Cherries has traded its traditional packaging for zip-top pouches and simultaneously added new sauces to their product line. The new packaging promotes freshness and healthy portions for chocolate, dried cherries and berries, and energy mixes while the sauces cater to customers’ enthusiasm for savory cherry options.
According to Tommy Montgomery, Chukar’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “The new packaging is designed with the consumer in mind while still delivering an elegant design. We’ve added a re-closable seal to maintain freshness and designed the package to be tear-proof and stand on its own. The new sauces will provide our customers with a twist on our existing sauces. More flavor, more spice, and better consistency.”
Chukar’s new savory sauces will compliment their existing line of cherry preserves, pie fillings, and dessert sauces. Chukar already offers cherry savories such as Cherry Chipotle Sauce and Peach Cherry Salsa; now they are adding Cherry Pomegranate Chutney and Cherry Pepper Jelly. In addition, they have added Cherry Fudge Sauce, Vanilla Peach Dessert Sauce, Sweet Cherry Preserves, Sweet Cherry Pie Filling and modified a few customer favorites such as Cherries Jubilee Dessert Sauce, Peach Cherry Salsa, Raspberry Cherry Preserves, and Sour Cherry Preserves.
The new packaging was first unveiled at the San Francisco International Gift Fair, August 6th-9th, 2011 at the Moscone Center. It has also been released at Chukar’s factory headquarters in Prosser, WA and at Chukar’s busy store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Both the new packaging and sauces are available online at www.chukar.com.
Chukar’s goal is to promote the fresh flavors of the Northwest through dried cherry confections and whole cherry sauces. Chukar sources their ingredients from local growers and transforms them into delicious preserves and confections using timely manufacturing processes that insure that the cherries go from orchard to table in the shortest time possible.
