Healthy Hiring, Smart Spending, International Webinar Wrap-Up: Atlas Experts to Present at NECE
Grand Haven, MI, November 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- At last year’s National Ergonomics Convention and Expo (NECE), Atlas Ergonomics founder Drew Bossen provided a workshop that began leading the efforts of hundreds of injury prevention specialists. His leadership continued throughout the year via a series of NECE sponsored webinars.
At this year's conference, Bossen will provide a wrap-up workshop on Tuesday, November 29, "Maximizing Your Ergonomics Program in 2012: ErgoExpo Webinar Wednesday Wrap-up." The session will help participants critique their ergonomics achievements, identify programming and resource needs, and develop strategic plans and proactive programs. Participants from all industries are encouraged to attend the broadly pertinent workshop, whether or not they attended last year's workshop or this year's webinars.
On Thursday, December 1, Bossen will reveal the latest findings of his ongoing work measuring the effectiveness of ergonomics investments. Bossen will focus particularly on the measured value of input devices, keyboard trays, monitor arms and risers, document holders, footrests and chairs in the case study presentation "Office Ergonomics: Pinpointing R.O.I."
Also on Thursday, December 1, Bossen and Atlas' Nick Menke will present "Don't Hire Your Next Injury: The Benefits of Pre-Employment Screens." The session will discuss how to conduct effective and appropriate physical function pre-work screens that comply with U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission requirements. The program is geared especially toward transportation, warehousing, and other heavy-work industries.
Finally, Atlas will share information from booth 305 in the Caesar's Forum Ballroom from November 29 through December 2. Speakers Bossen and Menke will be available during exhibition hours. Conference attendees are invited to meet and speak with them at the booth.
Bossen, an Atlas founder, is a licensed physical therapist with an MBA. He has helped several large companies reduce injury-related costs by as much as 86%. Menke, a Certified Athletic Trainer, has more than 10 years of experience in ergonomics, wellness, pre-employment screens, and essential function development.
The National Ergonomics Conference and Exposition, the largest ergonomic event in the United States, supports organizations seeking ways to improve productivity and reduce workplace injuries.
