EDM Global Music, LLC Signs Singer Norwood Young to Record Deal
Celebrity Guests, Friends, Family and Fans Witness Singer Norwood Young as He Publicly Signs Official Recording Contract with EDM Records
Los Angeles, CA, November 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, November 7, 2011 just prior to his long awaited public performance at the World Famous Conga Room and before a full-house of standing room only onlookers, singer Norwood Young publically inked his record deal with EDM Global Music.
“We believe in Norwood’s music and we believe it is time that we get back to putting out music with great content and passion. We see that in Norwood’s music and performance, that is why we are so excited to sign him,” says Errol Brown, Executive Producer at EDM.
In August 2011, Norwood Young, shocked the city of Los Angeles when he landed on the front page of the Los Angeles Times after announcing that he was selling his iconic home “Youngwood Court” aka "The House Of Davids." The story states that Young was now choosing to give up his opulent 22 room mansion located in the prestigious neighborhood of Hancock Park to pursue his passion of singing and performing without living in the shadows of the infamy of the home.
Young, who also is no stranger in the music industry began his career as a very young man on the television hit show "Star Search," and later having some recording successes both international and domestic including lead singer of the legendary jazz band “Pieces of a Dream,” says “I always wanted to be known for my music, but somehow my home became the "real celebrity," and I then grew jealous of my own home.” Young also penned an explosive, and inspiring memoir entitled "Getting Back To My Me" in which he reveals his sexual abuse as a child, drug abuse, plastic surgeries, his relationship with God, and how he became victorious in his life. His CD also titled “Getting Back to My Me” is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2012 and will be available online and in local retails.
