City of Marlborough, MA Calls for Proposals to House New Senior Center
City takes steps to implement plans for new senior center.
Marlborough, MA, November 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The City of Marlborough is seeking proposals for the purchase or lease/purchase of property for use as a new Senior Center in Marlborough, MA. Proposals submitted may be for existing building(s) which can accommodate approximately a 14,000 square foot senior center or allow for expansion on adjacent vacant land. Proposals may also be for vacant land, suitable for a Senior Center. The Property offered may be located in different buildings.
Entrances, administrative offices, program spaces, event function space, toilets, and storage must be handicap accessible or must be capable of being renovated to comply with laws concerning handicap accessibility. In addition, the Property must provide parking for a minimum of 70 spaces which includes on-site handicapped parking and an outdoor patio area or area suitable for the construction of an outdoor patio area.
Proposal packages are available at the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, City Hall, 4th Floor, 140 Main Street, Marlborough, MA 01752, by phone request to 508-460-3707, or by fax request to 508-460-3698 as of November 21, 2011. Proposals will be accepted until December 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on December 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM. at the Senior Center, 250 Main Street, Marlborough, MA. A tour of the existing senior center will follow.
There is no cost to obtain the RFP package. Proposal packages may be obtained in person, emailed or delivered via FedEx Overnight for $25.00 mailing fee prepaid to the City of Marlborough (or the use of the vendor's FedEx, UPS or other pre-paid account number).
Questions concerning the Requests for Proposals must be submitted in writing to: Beverly J. Sleeper, Chief Procurement Officer. Questions may be delivered, mailed, or faxed as noted above.
