Adelphi’s Hudson Valley Center to Launch New State-of-the-Art Center and Programs
Adelphi's Hudson Valley Center will open its new location at the St. Francis Hospital Medical Arts Pavilion in January 2012. The new center will allow for program expansion and better student access to resources and improved technology.
Garden City, NY, November 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Adelphi University is pleased to announce the new location of its Hudson Valley Center at the St. Francis Hospital Medical Arts Pavilion, 241 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY. This new location offers state-of-the-art facilities including technology-enhanced classrooms, a full service library with an extensive collection in the health and human services area, computer labs, and a full range of student services. The site’s official opening is planned for January 2012.
This new facility represents Adelphi’s longstanding commitment and continued investment in providing quality social work education for the multi-county Hudson Valley region. In addition to the M.S.W. program, the Center’s new location will offer an R.N. to B.S. degree for licensed registered nurses in the State of New York. Students will continue to benefit from Adelphi’s extensive relationships with the health and social service community, with the added advantage of being co-located with an active network of healthcare providers. This expansion is further strengthened by Adelphi’s newly launched Center for Health Innovation which establishes a single point of reference for, and allows collaboration between, Adelphi’s various health-oriented programs, thereby creating a shared identity, increasing efficiency, and expanding Adelphi’s regional influence in healthcare.
The Hudson Valley Center will host open houses for prospective students on Tuesday, December 6, 2011; and Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital. Representatives from the R.N. to B.S. program, the M.S.W. program, Financial Aid, Student Services, and other offices will be available to answer questions.
