New Swedish Camera Technology to Fukushima
Helsingborg, Sweden, November 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Swedish company ISEC has received a request from Japan for delivery of camera systems to the Fukushima 1 nuclear plant.
Via Hitachi-GE, the Japanese power company TEPCO has sent a request to ISEC for expedient delivery of camera systems that will help to improve safety for personnel working on the site. The first consignment of ISEC cameras will arrive at Fukushima on Tuesday, and preparations for further deliveries are now being made at ISEC in Höganäs.
Production of ISEC's cameras is time-consuming, and to allow for rapid delivery of more cameras to Japan, Swedish nuclear group Forsmarks Kraftgrupp has offered to postpone installation of 23 cameras that are ready for delivery from ISEC.
“In the difficult situation that has arisen following the earthquake, we are naturally ready to help in any way we can. It was fortunate that ISEC already had cameras in Japan and, thanks to Forsmark’s offer to postpone delivery, we are now able to quickly assist with our patented camera technology and thereby facilitate TEPCO's work at the Fukushima site,” says ISEC managing director Niklas Barringer.
