Connected Learning Gateway Selected as Finalist by SIIA for Education Innovation Incubator Program

ITWorx announced today the selection of its education division’s social e-learning platform, “Connected Learning Gateway”, as a finalist in the Software and Information Industry Association’s Innovation Incubator Program.

Farmington, CT, November 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ITWorx, a global professional services company, announced today the selection of its education division’s social e-learning platform, “Connected Learning Gateway”, as a finalist in the Software and Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) Innovation Incubator Program.

According to the SIIA, the program connects developers of promising new technologies with industry leaders, potential investors, and established organizations seeking partnerships or prospects for acquisition. It is open to nominees from academic and non‐profit institutions, pre‐revenue, and early‐stage companies, as well as established companies with newly developed technologies. Participants receive veteran advice and mentoring from industry experts.

SIIA is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry in the US with over 500 leading software and information companies. The SIIA Education Division serves and represents more than 180 member companies that provide software, digital content, and other technologies that address educational needs.

As a finalist, selection of the ITWorx Connected Learning Gateway (CLG) was based on how much it represents a major change in thinking and can transform education; has the potential to enhance student achievement, increase teacher effectiveness, reduce costs, and improve efficiency; and how well it aligns with the 2011 theme for SIIA’s Ed Tech Business Forum, “Doing Business in the New Normal.”

CLG is a dynamic learning platform that delivers an engaging learning and teaching experience, empowering the K-12 education community with tools to excel in the 21st century. CLG enables learners, teachers and schools to embrace a new culture of social learning. It also encourages parental involvement.

“CLG stands out against other platforms with its unique, attention-grabbing interface, wrapping up learning in the fun of social networking. It empowers teachers with a variety of cutting-edge tools and allows students to set their own individual learning plans and experience self-paced learning,” explained Hatem Sallam, Education General Manger at ITWorx.

ITWorx will present CLG at the 11th annual Ed Tech Business Forum taking place at New York City’s Princeton Club from November 28-29. Based on votes by forum participants, awards will be presented to the most innovative business and the most likely to succeed.

“We are very excited by this opportunity to showcase CLG at the forum. We believe that CLG ushers in the 'next generation' in learning platforms and we are very proud of its success worldwide,” added Houssam Amer, ITWorx VP North America.
