Ade Asefeso MCIPS MBA Published His Latest Book CEO Guide to Doing Business in India
With more and more companies from all parts of the world outsourcing their business process to India, the topic of doing business in India is as timely as ever.
London, United Kingdom, November 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- CEO Guide to Doing Business in India (Why India?)
That’s the question that Ade Asefeso answers in his new book "CEO Guide To Doing Business In India."
Ade said, “Are you a CEO, consultant, or entrepreneur interested in entering or expanding your business activity in India? Interested in entering or expanding your activity in the India market; then this book is for you. Get your copy now.”
He said the main objective of this book “is to provide business leaders with basic knowledge about India; an overview of its economy, business culture, potential opportunities and an introduction to other relevant issues. Novice exporters, in particular will find it a useful starting point.”
He also said, “In a country with a middle class of 300 million people, growing disposable incomes and an appetite for foreign goods, the question should not be are there opportunities for business? But rather where are they and how do we harness them?”
Ade warned that “If you are planning moving into the Indian market; don't assume things are the same, no matter how British your business partners may be. The general rule that nobody follows is that they assume that business is done the same way in their home country. It’s the natural reflex. It gets accentuated in a country like India. If you go to China, you’re reminded more obviously that you’re in a foreign country. In India, you may be lured into complacency. The differences are still there.”
Ade pointed out the fact that; "If you expect something to take a week, it'll take a month. There's the timing perception. If the average British businessman wants to do something in one week, it will take four times as long. If you’re a person who gets impatient, you shouldn’t be the one doing the deal."
Ade told a story of a CEO and said, “You're not that important even if you're the CEO of a FTSE 100 company. Thing is your perception of your self-importance. If you’re one of the FTSE 100 companies, your assumption would be you’ll be treated in a certain manner, because you’re used to being treated in that manner in your home country. That is not a good assumption. The CEO of a major UK company took his private plane to India with his team, and he assumed he didn’t even need a visa. But in India you need a visa. The authorities gave him 24 hours and they fetched him and deported him. That’s the way the system works. You can’t assume you’ll be treated with an amount of deference and respect."
Ade is currently the CEO of AA Global Sourcing Ltd. A company that helps local businesses outsource so that they can enjoy the benefits that used to be enjoyed by big corporations for years. He is the author, of numerous books on Finance, Business Ideas, Personal Development, Self help, Outsourcing, Lean manufacturing, Real estate and Online Marketing.
