Laugh for a Cause - Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Hosts Its First Benefit Comedy Night

Shelton, CT, November 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday November 12, the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley hosted its first Comedy Night at the Liquid Lunch Restaurant on 6 Research Drive.

All proceeds benefited the Club’s youth leadership/community service group, Keystone, in their fundraising efforts for their Regional Leadership Conference November 18-20 in Nashua, New Hampshire.

The Comedy Night began at 7:00pm with a social hour and at 8:00pm, local comedians- Dan Kalwhite, Kevin Fitzgerald, and John Romanoff donated 90 minutes of adult comedy for the 40+ members of the audience. All of the comedians got the crowd involved and the room was laughing for the entire duration of the comedy show.

The Keystone Club raised over $500 from the event and is looking forward to making Comedy Night an annual event to benefit the Lower Naugatuck Valley’s Boys & Girls Club.
