About Dr. Harry Paul Erba
Dr. Erba has had more than 20 years of experience in medicine as a hematologist-oncologist. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Health Systems, teaching medical students. He also conducts research regarding treatment protocols for acute/chronic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes and other malignant blood diseases. In addition, Dr. Erba performs clinical trials and is responsible for the research and development of new options related to bone marrow issues. He is currently serving as a Cancer Center Member and Executive Officer, Southwest Oncology Group. He received a B.S. in Science and Biology from Yale University in 1979, an M.D. and Ph.D. in Biophysics from Stanford University in 1988 and completed his Internship and Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston Massachusetts. He is certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Erba is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He currently resides in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he enjoys running.
