Crown Honda of Southpoint Aims to Fill Two Honda Ridgelines with Toys in Support of Toys for Tots Foundation
Durham, NC, December 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This holiday season, Crown Honda of Southpoint is proud to team up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to collect toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation. The Toys for Tots Foundation seeks to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically-disadvantaged children in the community during Christmas.
Due to the overwhelming donation of toys the past two years, Crown Honda of Southpoint is excited to serve as a Toys for Tots drop-off location for the third straight year. This year, the dealership’s goal is to fill two Honda Ridgeline trucks to the brim with toys.
“While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation’s success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of people who donate toys, and that’s why Crown Honda of Southpoint has joined this cause,” said Scott Washle, general manager of Crown Honda of Southpoint. “We love this program and want those Ridgeline trucks completely full, so I encourage the Triangle to come out and support us!”
If you would like to participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the dealership showroom at 1001 Southpoint Auto Park Boulevard in Durham by December 14, 2011.
About the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not-for-profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense to provide fundraising and other necessary support for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Now in its 64th year, Toys for Tots provides joy and a message of hope to less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy or book during the Christmas holiday season.
