RUST Studios Opening and Local Holiday Shop

Charleston, SC, December 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The new artist-run venue, RUST, is proud to announce a soft opening event during the holiday season called “The Procrastinator’s Pop-Up Shop.” Local artistic phenoms, Amanda McLenon of Circle The Stream and Jennafer Bryan of Scarlet Poppy, have teamed up to bring some life to their end of Spring Street by inviting a variety of local artists in for this one-stop Holiday Gift Shop. “Our aim is to give the last minute shopper a local option for quality gift items that are hand made, printed or designed, and more directly support our community,” says one contributing artist. As talented as our local artisans are, RUST also has the goal of introducing new-to-the-Charleston-scene artists, so this show will not be the same ol’ crafts that are at most of the local events.

“The Procrastinator’s Pop Up Shop” and soft debut of RUST will conveniently be open on the night of Eye Level Art’s last show, December 15th. This show will, however, continue all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. See flyer for details. New contributing artists will include: Artisan Tees, Ink Meets Paper, Jaysen Edge, Austin Norvell and Charleston “Grow Your Own Roots.”
