Maybank’s Adopted Schools Enjoy a Special School Holiday Treat Under the PINTAR Program
Students from 2 schools in Penang were shuttled over to Ampang for a fun outing and learning camp.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- 40 students and 4 teachers from SMK Sg. Ara and SRK Sg. Duri underwent a 3-day 2-night Financial Literacy and Team building camp in COPE Adventure. This camp was sponsored by Maybank under the PINTAR (Promoting Intelligence, Nurturing Talent and Advocating Responsibility) program by Khazanah Nasional. Students participated in many team-based activities during this camp such as the talent-time, amazing race, ice-breaking and several other team building games.
During the camp, students learned how to manage their personal finances, accumulate and protect their wealth using these products so that they can achieve the financial goals they have set for themselves. Team building activities were also conducted for the students. Besides that, students also learned about the financial products offered by Maybank such as debit cards, credit cards, Yippee and imTeen saving accounts, and how they should utilize those financial products in a Financially responsible manner.
Primary school student, Fazrizatul wishes this program will be held again next year. Another student, Amalina from the secondary group expresses her gratitude to Maybank for this splendid program and the fun she’s had here.
Under the Maybank PINTAR Program, 200 students from SMK Sg. Ara and SRK Sg. Duri underwent a 2-day MoneyWise session on 24 September 2011 and 8 October 2011 after which the top 20 students from each school were selected to attend the third session in COPE Ampang.
The MoneyTree Program educates children from ages 6 -17 years old on financial literacy through fun activities in class, group dynamics, role playing, simulations and other interactive tools.
