Kids Get a Glimpse of Scuba Diving Adventure with Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort’s “Bubblemakers” PADI Program
Scuba diving program for kids eight to nine years old provides kids with their first glimpse of the world’s second largest coral reef system.
Cozumel, Mexico, December 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kids fascinated with underwater marine life can enjoy an up close and personal look at coral formations and colorful fish with Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa’s “Bubblemakers” program, a PADI-certified, scuba diving program for kids eight to nine years old.
PADI-certified instructors with Scuba Du, Presidente InterContinental Cozumel’s on-property, Five-Star PADI dive center, provide kids with their first glimpse of the world’s second largest coral reef system as part of this introductory diving experience.
The two-hour session starts with on-land instruction including proper use of the scuba equipment – and then the fun begins!
Upon wading approximately 15 yards into the crystal-blue Caribbean waters from the resort’s private, white-sand beach, children will scuba dive down to a depth of six feet under direct supervision of the dive instructor.
“It’s a great opportunity for kids to experience the wonders of diving alongside older siblings and parents who are already certified to scuba dive,” said Antonio Madrazo, ScubaDu manager.
Non-scuba dive certified parents can watch from the pier above as kids explore corals and marine life below. Many sights they won’t see with just a snorkel and fins!
The Bubblemakers program is $72 per child for two hours of instruction. Children 10 and older can enroll in Scuba Du’s Discover Scuba Diving course.
For reservations, call toll free from the USA (800) 327-0200 or visit www.InterContinentalCozumel.com.
